Jdownloader why wait

My reason for this is that I use mainly these two hosts, so when there is a time limit, the next link to be downloaded could be days earlier. I'm sorry but I don't understand. Was 'askin2u' correct about what you mean? When there is a time limit, JDownloader will just try to download the next link that is possible. From what I understand I agree with askin2u.

My aim is that if there is a download time limit, every other link and host to not proceed with downloading but to wait until the download time limit is gone, the specific link to be downloaded and then go to the next link. The purpose of this is that if I have a list of 10 links from the two hosts I use, I could let them download all day without worrying if some unrelated download starts.

That's the part I don't understand. And I'm trying to understand why you still wish this. Regarding the why, I will give you a simple example. If the Java books get downloaded I will have to deal with the space they take and organize them. Thans for explaining the use case to me! Is it possible to restrict the next available download to a specific package?

Also, could I use the event scripter or create a plugin to wait out the time limit? How can I configure the the "Wait" time, after a download connection was lost? Last edited by Jiaz; Attached Images Screen shot at 6. Find all posts by Jiaz. That's weird. I would expect a response like this, for a new feature request.

But changing the waiting time, seems trivial enough. Isn't there a configuration file or something I can change to reduce the waiting time? And why five minutes? Is there a logic behind the five minutes? Do we have any updates on this? Anything to allow configuring the wait time? The thread is tagged as [unsolvable], but Jiaz wrote that it might come back.

I wouldn't expect it soon. Highly doubtful. We use hard set variables within plugins to prevent abuse by jdownloader as a download client and bad user changes in these settings. You can always bypass wait times by restarting jdownloader or resetting the link if your that way inclined, which is a manual trigger. If there's something critically wrong with one of the wait timers tell us maybe we can adjust the figures.

Other than that there's not much more that I need to say on this matter. In my opinion - possibility to configure the "wait time" is much needed function!

I believe that is wery simple to add the feature into JD. It is a lot of free download servers. Often server writes: "no free slots available". If I want solve this problem, I must constantly clicking "resume" It is very disturbing. It is no good:thumbdown: In these situations is JD no useful no automatic! JD auto handles errors. If there is a variable I can modify to force a 30 minutes wait time, please let me know. One file started quickly, but the next one as a wait time of 2 hours. I also created a log file. Here is the link: As you can see, with my free account, the wait time is approx 30 minutes. But if I don't have an account, the wait time is approx 2 hours. Hope this helps. Attached Thumbnails. Actually 2nd link tried with account, got wait 30 minutes, then tried without account, got wait 2 hours, don't know why.

Wait for raztoki's comment. The waittimes can be different this is nothing abnormal GreeZ psp. A users' JD crashes and the first thing to ask is: Quote:. Originally Posted by Jiaz. If you double click the status window you can see the other candidates tried and reason why failed Exception and timers solution: create account usage rule for this host, and disable free mode. So, if I understand correctly, since I can't download immediately the next download, because the free account requires a 30 min wait time, JDownloader considers a failure and goes to the next option which is no account.

Because I'm still downloading, the no account requires a 2 hour wait time, hence the wait time shown on the status. In other words, the logic doesn't choose the lesser wait time between the host download options. The logic tries to download immediately until the last option. If unsuccessful, it uses the wait time of the last option. It would be nice to retain the lesser wait time.
