Should i buy a buell 1125r
At the lunch break about half of the journalists said they had noticed the heat, so I secretly swapped bikes hoping for an improvement. Thankfully none of that magic is lost on the R. The bike is quick to respond to bar inputs, and firm countersteering from the rider results in quick side-to-side transitions. For the Laguna Seca track the bikes were fitted with either. With the. The softer springs also helped the bike midturn, as it could track a more precise line without the tendency to run wide.
The flat torque curve that was a hit on the street was even more enjoyable on the track, as it makes the an easy bike to ride. Once on the front straight and charging ahead one starts to appreciate how much time the design team spent in the wind tunnel. Call it what you will, the front fairing simply works when in a tuck. In those brief moments behind the windscreen time stood still. Charging up over the hill and into Turn Two, reality comes rushing back as you pop out of the tuck. Squeeze on the brake lever and initially nothing happens.
The rear brake is Ducatilike in its wooden, seemingly ineffective feeling, which some riders prefer to one that requires extremely careful modulation in a corner. All in all the Buell R is a huge step forward for the company. The groundwork for a good motorcycle is there, but one gets the feeling that the bikes we rode were rushed into the truck in time for this launch.
Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment. Northeast U. South Central U. Southeast U. Both have great advice and know what they're talking about. Good luck! You're going to love the ride!!! Thanks alot for the advise! IMHO, you could find a "better" bike for cheaper. It just depends how bad you have fever.
I don't think that bike is worth what they're asking. That bike looks to be pretty much stock; they'll have a hard time selling it for that price in that shape. There were 3 other 's on ebay when mine was up for sale and they were in better shape with some extra mods and they were cheaper than that.
Don't get me wrong, you can't go wrong! You're going to love any bike you get! Just don't let them screw you over by saying you won't find a "better" bike because you can; it's not too hard.
You still gotta pay the TTL on that one, don't forget. The voltage regulator and stator need to be taken into consideration as well. Just trying to help out! Replies: 24 Last Post: , AM. A sympathetic dealer will have the sense to set the bike up more in tune with the rider — weight, experience, riding style.
The Buell R is a major move by Buell to step away from Harley-Davidson power in favour of a water-cooled Rotax-built lump. But it is happening — constant development work has already seen a couple of ECU upgrades. Chassis-wise it looks to be OK but the detailing is suspect — the right side of the swingarm is open to boot heel scuffs, the pillion seat is held in place by a lump of steel plate that doubles up as a vegetable slicer, and the idiot warning lights are hard to see in bright sunshine.
If you want a cheapish large capacity V-twin that can turn its wheels to do most things road, track day, commute etc the Buell R will suffice but without any refinement of the competition. Find a Buell R for sale. A plus point is the whopping Owners' rating not rated yet.
